Overlay tools

These tools are based on openGl. There are displayed over some editors such as the 3D viewports, the timeline or the dopesheets.

Some of these tools are only available in advanced editions of StoryLiner. Besides, they are toggled in quite different ways from each other. Some are displayed from the Timeline editor, some from the Features panel, in the Overlay Tools section. See the Feature Toggles panel and click on their related toggle button.

There are currently 5 overlay tools:

  • Camera HUD: In the 3D view, display the name of the shot or shots using the camera (enabled by default).

  • Viewport Frames: Display a colored frame around 3D views to underline the activation of autokey and multiframe edit modes (enabled by default).

  • Viewport Toolbar: Set of tools to manipulate objects, cameras and views in the 3D View.

  • Edit Timeline: An interactive timeline to cut the shots and build the current edit.

  • Interactive Shots Stack: Control the shot clips directly in the Timeline editor.
