Objects Toggle

New features to come in StoryLiner V1.3 - Objects Toggle

Using the objects toggle

Making a shot control the visibility state of some objects is pretty simple:

  • select an object in the scene,

  • select a shot in the shot list of the main panel of StoryLiner and go to its Properties panel,

  • expand the Objects Toggle panel and click on the Add (“+”) button.

By default the referenced object will be visible when the shot is the current one. You can make it hidden instead, just check the Hide in Viewport and Hide in Renders buttons located on the right side of the object name in the list.

Then, when the shot becomes the current one:

  • objects of the list that are flagged to be visible will be displayed,

  • objects of the list that are flagged to be hidden will be hidden,

  • other objects are not changed.

At the same time, the shot that WAS the current one (and which is not the current one anymore) will “revert” the state of the objects it references.

Note

  • The visibility state of the parent collection(s) of the objects is NOT modified at all. This means that an object can be set to visible but will stay hidden if its parent collections are hidden.
